What Will I Learn?

• To learn how to utilise animal assisted therapy techniques to help facilitate your child or teen's understanding of their emotions.
• To provide caregivers or parents with some of the tools and techniques of animal assisted therapy to help regulate your child or teen's emotions.
• To use the experiences of implementing animal assisted interventions in a way that will improve the relationship between you and your child or teen.
• Apart from emotion regulation, additional education using the family dog will be covered, including improving self esteem, and managing anxiety.
