• Conversion techniques of a basic garment pattern into frock patterns : A-Line Frock, Hip Line Frock, Neckline Designs, Puffy and Short Sleeve Patterns
• Garment Pattern Layout and Cutting of a Simple A-Line Frock
• Sewing procedure of a Simple A-Line Frock with Center Back Full Open Plackets and Peter Pan Collar
• Understanding fabric behavior, pattern layout on fabric, and cutting out patterns for A-Line Frock
• Theoretical understanding of Grain Lines of Fabric, Importance of Ironing and Finishing
• Understanding of the types of materials, trims and fasteners suitable for children's wear

Requirements

• Basic mathematics skill, a fair understanding of clothing construction and how to take body measurements
• Basic drawing skills- Note all drawings must be made using clutch pencil or sharp pencil
• Basic knowledge of different fabrics available in the market, good knowledge of choice of fabrics for different seasons
• Good color sense and ability to use good color harmonies and choose right fabric textures
• Good sewing skills as garment construction is not included in Part-1 but in Part-2 of the course
