By the end of this course, you will be able to generate ideas for a video through to scripting, storyboarding and producing an animatic.
In this course, you will learn techniques in story development, types of shots used in the language of film; how to write a script; how to draw a storyboard using Photoshop; and how to create an animatic using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere and After Effects. You will also compare the animatic to the finished promo to consider cost implications.

Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, LibreOffice or equivalent.
A digital drawing tablet and pen.
Alternatively, pencil and paper, and a scanner.

This course is designed to compliment students working on a UK Level 3 or above media production course (16-18 years). However, it is also useful for those wishing to learn more about the development process in motion image production. This is an introductory course.
