What Will I Learn?

• Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the documentary filmmaking process, from concept development to distribution and marketing.
• You will learn various techniques for developing a concept, conducting research, shooting and editing a documentary film, and working with subjects.
• The course will also provide opportunities for students to engage in critical analysis of documentary films, and to develop their own artistic vision and voice
• You will learn about distribution and marketing, and how to develop a plan for getting their film seen by audiences.
• Students will be able to critically analyze documentary films, evaluating their storytelling techniques and impact on society.

• No filmmaking experience needed. You will learn everything you need to know.
