• Articulate why conventional models for parenting after divorce or separation aren't the only options available for raising kids after a relationship parts
• Understand and explain the concepts, structures and guiding principles of coparenting and shared-parenting
• Understand what needs to be considered in setting up coparenting after divorce or separation, and why such factors are important
• Evaluate objectively whether coparenting may work for them in their separated family now or in the future, what benefits it can offer for them and their kids, and why.

Requirements

• The course will be of most interest to students who are divorced or separated parents (or friends/relatives of divorced or separated parents) who are looking to figure out how to most-effectively raise their kids following divorce or separation
• The course has no further pre-requisites other than an open mind and a desire to raise happy, fulfilled and contented kids after divorce or separation

Target audience

• Divorced or separated parents who wish to know more about coparenting and shared-parenting conceptually in order that they may be able to implement it for themselves either now or in the future
• Friends or relatives of divorced or separated parents who may be trying to assist those who are looking to establish an effective model of parenting after divorce or separation
• Divorced or separated parents looking to understand whether coparenting can be set up and managed effectively for the benefit of them and their kids.
