• You will learn what to do if you think your kids are using drugs or alcohol and how to approach the situation in non-confrontational manner.
• You will learn about how your child's nutrition can directly affect their decision making abilities.
• You will learn how fitness can reduce the chances of your child wanting to try or continue using drugs or alcohol.
• You will learn how to get your child to sleep and how sleep also affects their decision making abilities.
• You will learn how important it is to nurture your child's mental health and when to see a professional.
• You will learn how spirituality can have a positive impact on your child's life and it may help reduce the likelihood of them abusing drugs or alcohol.
• You will learn how to teach your children to live with intention.
• You will learn how your child's family can have both a positive and negative impact on your child's drug and alcohol use.
• You will learn how your child's friends can also play a big role in whether or not they experiment with drugs and alcohol.
• You will learn how your child's classmates can impact their drug or alcohol use.
• You will learn how money can also play a role in your child's drug and alcohol use.
• You will learn how to take care of your own self so you can have the time and energy to put into making sure your child does not use drugs or alcohol.
• You will learn how to spot drug and alcohol use in children.
• You will learn when to know if your child needs rehab.

Requirements

• You must play an important part in a child's life and be willing to put the work in.
• It is recommended that you take notes so that you can reflect and then later incorporate the techniques discussed in this course.
• You do not need to be a parenting expert or be an expert in addiction to take this course.
• Being able to realize that it's never too late, no matter how old your child is, is an important part of this course.
• Parents and caregivers must be willing to lead by example which is discussed in section two.
• Those who take this course must understand that this is a harm reduction approach and not an abstinence based only approach.
• Parents and caregivers to older school aged children and teens must be willing and in a position to lock up alcohol and prescriptions drugs that are located in the home.
• Parents and caregivers who enroll in this course will have to know that the overall picture is much more than just simply keeping kids away from drugs and alcohol; a holistic approach needs to take place which includes ensuring the child's physical, emotional and social well-being are being tended to.
• If you enroll in this course you need to have an open mind and be able to honestly look within and look at your child to be able to accurately spot drug and alcohol use shall it occur.
• Parents and caregivers will be encouraged to ensure their child's safety always comes first.

• People who want to help raise children that are drug or alcohol free.
• Family members who want to make sure their family is on the right track for avoiding drug or alcohol use.
• Many professionals who are looking to get into social work that focuses on chemical dependency, addiction or substance abuse would also benefit from taking this course.
• Parents or caregivers who are concerned that their child is partaking in substance use.
• Parents or caregivers who are unsure if their child is in harms way or needs more education on signs and things to look for.
• Those who are caring for a child and would like to take a harm reduction, holistic approach to ensuring their children are drug and alcohol free.
