What Will I Learn?

• By the end of this course, you will have full confidence using your DSLR to 100% of its potential, and you will be surprisingly far down the road in your personal journey as an artistic photographer of the natural world.
• In this course, you will learn what you actually need to know about your DSLR in CAMERA CLASS, how to begin seeing Light in the PHOTOGRAPHY section, and how to continue learning for a lifetime in my PROBLEM SOLVING section.

Requirements

• This course is for beginners who believe they may want to get serious about their new hobby of photographing the natural world.
• We recommend a DSLR of any variety, though our illustrations will tend toward the entry-level Canon and Nikon systems.
• There is no required software for this course. We intentionally don't dive into the digital post-processing world during this JUMPSTART course.

Target audience

• Anyone who doesn't have the time or desire to sit in a classroom for 6-weeks at a community college, but does want to learn the fundamentals right the first time from a pro with a focus on the outdoor landscape.
• Recent retiree (or other) who has a nice camera and wants to get serious about using it in the context of travel, wildlife, or the outdoor landscape.
